Welcome, and thank you for stopping by. I’m starting this blog as a place to share short, plain-language updates that don’t always fit neatly into the rest of the website — things like new clinical trial data relevant to genitourinary and metastatic disease, developments in radiation therapy techniques, and answers to questions I hear often in clinic.

My goal is for this to be a useful resource, not just for my own patients, but for anyone trying to better understand radiation oncology and what it might mean for their care. I’ll aim to keep posts short, honest about what we do and don’t yet know, and free of unnecessary jargon.

What to expect here

  • Trial data & research updates — plain-language summaries of research that may be relevant to the conditions I treat.
  • Treatment advances — new techniques or technologies in radiation oncology, and what they mean in practice.
  • Patient questions — answers to things patients and families ask most often, without using any identifying details.

As always, nothing here is intended as personal medical advice. If something you read raises a question about your own care, please bring it up with me directly or reach out to our office.

More soon.

— Dr. Kluwe
